An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Sunday and Saturday, repeating until July 16, 2021
Contracommon is proud to present Séjour en Couleur, an exhibition of work by Molly Knobloch and Amanda Witucki. Molly Knobloch and Amanda Witucki are two artists using different mediums to facilitate experiences that feel similar.
Both artists use dynamic color relationships to create intricate, large-scale works. Knobloch’s paintings and Witucki’s paper sculptures build environments through repetition of smaller elements that fuse into a complete vision. Each has created their own specific vocabulary, following their own rules for arranging details within their works. Knobloch uses a set of gestural marks to build spaces, while Witucki favors repeating patterns of interlocking paper shapes that form larger structures.
The exhibition will run from June 14th-July 16th, Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm-6pm, weekdays by appointment.
